Fireworks

Friday and Saturday finally came and gone!

Crown Casino celebrated its 10th year anniversary with fireworks for 5 nights (Fri, Sat, coming Tues, Fri & Sat)! Obviously, I went out to grab some shots after a disappointment during the last fireworks display that was canceled due to poor weather (Moomba Festival in March). I am a HAPPY man with the shots I took! Some are posted below while more on Who ALSE site. Comparing to my previous shots during Commonwealth Games, they seem to be better but I may be biased! This time, these are taken with the beasty 28-70 while the older ones are taken with the kit lens 18-70 loaned by my uncle.

Saturday (today) was spent working out in the gym in the morning and doing my laundry. After that, it was off to the Imaging Tech Expo! Sat in for Steven Dupont's session on Photos on the Edge at Nikon's corner! It was a nice sharing of his experience and photos taken in East Timor, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel etc. And of course, I went to the Flickr corner where some of our photos are showcased on digital photo frames!

Had a movie marathon at a friend's house just then over pizzas for dinner! Man, Saw III is gory and shocking!

What's the plan for tomorrow? I guess another visit to the Expo for some talks and perhaps meeting up with other photographers. O yea, ironing and cleaning my place too!

Peace out
