Never Forget Our Roots

I had a call from my PwC Penang's partner on Thursday night informing me that there's a Cocktail session here in Melbourne for Malaysian students. The Malaysian partners are here for meetings as well as for the recruitment drive, other than wine and golf (wondering where did all our bonuses go to in the past! ;p)!!!

It was a very great meetup, not that we were treated with abalones, scallops, snapper etc etc for dinner with 2 of the Penang partners! Even the MD gave the greenlight for the treat in Shark Fin Inn!!! We got to meet up with so many partners of whom most of us could only see in newsletters and pamphlets! Some students spoke to us as well and we gladly (honestly) shared with them our experience.
Certainly, we would never be allowed to go without a drink (at least) with our partner, CCM! We did adjourn to Crown for drinks as well. And that's after so many drinks during the cocktail before the mouth-watering dinner!
See the similarities from both the photos above? Grinz

I suppose we are all very excited and happy to be able to see one another. CCM seems to be very delighted, touched and embarrassed by our "huge" turn-out. Other partners have been teasing him since that moment! We were tagged as "his Penang boys & girls"! That certainly shows our bond we have had during our tenure with PwC Penang!
We do still keep in touch. I guess we would never forget our roots as PwC Penang is where we hailed from and given us (at least to me) so much experience/exposures. For most of us, it's our first permanent job which has taught us so many things that we are relying on after we left PwC. It is, so to speak, our IDENTITY! There is also a term coined by one of our brothers-in-arm, "Together-gether"!
Once a PwC'ian, always a PwC'ian (No pun intended!). We are somehow still "connected" though no more Connected Thinking.

With another sequel of the Pirates of the Carribean coming, I think it's appropriate to bring in the Pirates of the Krabi-an (in 2003) once again for the reminiscence!
Beauties and the Pirate!
